This 1996 Eric Sahlin concert guitar is part of the Arlyn Clinton guitar collection and is in mint condition. Eric Sahlin classical guitars are world-class, highly sought-after instruments. They are defined by their distinctive ergonomic "twisted" neck, exceptional tonal balance, and microscopic build precision. Crafted in Spokane, Washington, these elite nylon-string instruments are so limited in production that ordering one directly carries a 9 to 11-year waiting list.

This guitar implements a traditional 7-fan structural layout. This design produces immense natural power and projection without relying on heavy modern lattice or double-top designs.

This particular guitar is a 650 mm scale, European Spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, and has fine David Rodgers tuners. The guitar has a French polish finish and a high-grade Hoffee flight case.

Eric Sahlin's first exposure to the classical guitar was during his teens when his brother first took interest in the instrument and began playing. Eric also had the good fortune of listening to the great guitar recordings from his brother’s Musical Heritage Society LPs. Years later, Eric attended college at UC Santa Barbara, which offers a strong classical guitar program where he enjoyed several school sponsored student recitals and concerts.
