The Spring William Jenks Guitar Ensemble Class meets every Thursday from 7 PM to 9 PM PDT beginning May 15 and a second rehearsal time is now offered every Tuesday from 10 AM to 12 PM PDT beginning May 19. The deadline to join the ensemble is May 14th. There will be several performances at the end of the class in Portland and Hawaii as well as an online virtual recital. It isn't required for you to perform in the live performances in Portland, Hawaii, or the virtual recital to take the class, but all students are encouraged to participate in as many recitals as possible. (The cost is $425 per term for 18 hours of instruction alone not including the recitals). While live rehearsals will take place in both Portland and Hawaii, all rehearsals will be accessible online through Zoom. Students participating in the recitals must attend at least two scheduled required live rehearsals leading up to the recitals and show that they have adequate proficiency of their parts. Students participating in the online presentation must submit a final recording of their parts by June 26th to participate in the online virtual recital.
