This Kurt Osterby of the Arlyn Clinton collection built in 1990 features a redwood top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides. Kurt Osterby is an American luthier known for building highly regarded, boutique acoustic and classical guitars during the 1980s and early 1990s. He actively built custom instruments out of Rosewood Guitar in Seattle during the 1980s. He later relocated back to his home state of Wisconsin, where he completed some of his final active building years around 1991. This guitar has been looked over throughouly and set up by local Portland luthier Peter Tsiorba.

Osterby guitars—particularly his classical models—are praised by players for their "forward, explosive, and exceptionally loud" projection, offering high performance relative to their secondary market price points.

Because he was an independent custom builder with a brief period of peak production, his guitars are rare, highly collectible, and occasionally surface on the used market or in regional artist setups
